Count objects to 5

This skill is for preschool and early elementary learners who are learning to count small groups of objects. It strengthens counting up to 5 and helps children connect a number with a specific quantity.

How to practice:

• Read or listen to the question, such as “How many cars are here?”
• Tap the answer showing the correct number of objects.
• Tap Help to display counting hints above the pictures.

Use the speaker button to hear the instructions. This also supports children who are not yet confident readers or find written instructions difficult to follow.

The questions give practice in attention, visual recognition, memory, concentration, and early mathematics. Look carefully and count the objects in order, without missing any or counting an object twice.

These activities also support school readiness: follow instructions, work independently, check an answer, and correct mistakes. As counting becomes more confident, move on to larger numbers, comparing quantities, and simple calculations.
