Which group has more? Numbers to 10
This skill helps preschool learners compare groups of up to 10 objects and understand the meaning of “more.”
How to practice:
- Look at two frames containing different numbers of objects. Read or listen to which group you need to find: more.
- Compare the quantities and tap the correct frame.
- Tap Help to display counting hints above the pictures.
Use the speaker button to hear the instructions. This also supports children who are not yet confident readers or find written instructions difficult to follow.
The aim is to understand comparison as well as count. Notice how the quantities differ, compare the groups, and explain a simple conclusion using “more” and “fewer.”
This practice prepares children to compare numbers, use greater-than and less-than signs, and solve calculations and word problems. Quantities can be compared as well as counted.
