Make numbers with cubes to 5
Explore different ways to make a number up to 5 using blue and orange cubes. The example shows one way to split the total into two parts.
How to practice:
- Read or listen to the example and the target number.
- Add cubes to the frame using both colors. Make the same total with a different combination.
- Tap Check. Use Help for a hint, or Clear to start the arrangement again.
Use the speaker button to hear the instructions. This also supports children who are not yet confident readers or find written instructions difficult to follow.
A number can be made from different pairs of smaller numbers. Compare your arrangement with the example and check that the total stays the same.
