Subtraction of decimal fractions
The simulator will help you master the skill of subtracting decimal fractions. In the settings, choose which fractions you want to practice with: up to tenths, hundredths, and thousandths.
To perform subtraction, you need to:
- mentally align one number under the other so that the decimal point of one number is under the decimal point of the other;
- perform the subtraction;
- place the decimal point under the decimal point in the answer.
Simulators on the topic
- addition of decimal fractions,
- multiplication of decimal fractions,
- division of decimal fractions.
Math trainer features
- Multiple difficulty levels. The system will suggest whether you should switch to an easier or harder trainer.
- Modes with negative (for addition and subtraction) and fractional numbers
- Fast answer checking for more effective practice
- The ability to enter answers using the number keys on the keyboard. Press Space to see the answer
- Timed training sessions, like athletes use
- The answer timer motivates you to calculate faster
- Shows the correct answer if you answered incorrectly or ran out of time
Timed training sessions
The green bar at the bottom shows the remaining training time.
You can noticeably improve your skills by doing 3 training sessions of 5 minutes each day. At the end of each session you will see detailed statistics for your answers. The longer the session, the bigger the bonus to your experience points.
Answer time limit
The blue bar at the top shows the remaining time to answer.
The time limit encourages you to memorize rather than calculate basic examples (multiplication tables, addition, and so on).
For more complex examples, the limit motivates you to calculate faster, but if you do not have time to solve a problem, you can always increase the time for one question or disable this feature entirely.
